Research Development
Research Development services, through the Office of Research Administration, are designed to assist Upstate faculty in obtaining support for their research and related programs.
Services include:
- Assisting researchers to identify extramural and internal funding opportunities
- Administering the Intramural Research Grant Opportunities
- Coordinating Fellowship and Award nominations for faculty
- Reviewing calls for proposals and advising PI(s) on agency requirements
- Outlining proposals and developing timelines for project management
- Ensuring that all aspects of your proposal adhere to guidelines, including formatting
- Editing and formatting biosketches, support letters, and cover letters
- Advising on the following aspects of proposals including clarity, logic, and organization
- Providing guidance on good grant writing practices
- Identifying collaborators both on and off campus
- Assisting PIs in obtaining sample proposals
- Assisting with responses to reviewers
