The Associated Medical Schools of New York (AMSNY) is proud to present Science Forward: Towards Inclusive Excellence in Academia, a symposium to build community for underrepresented basic scientists as they prepare to apply for tenure-track junior faculty positions. The symposium will include a number of workshops, including preparing a strong chalk talk, how to negotiate, and how to set up your lab. The symposium will feature a number of highly influential scientists and leaders including Erich Jarvis (Rockefeller University) and Blanton Tolbert (Howard Hughes Medical Institute).
In addition, the following panel of distinguished researchers for our Research Excellence panel, where attendees can hear from leaders on the opportunities and obstacles they encountered as they advanced through their careers in academia.
