CNYBAC Medical Device Innovation Challenge Now Accepting Applications

The NYS Empire State Development grant-supported CNY Biotech Accelerator (CNYBAC) Medical Device Innovation Challenge (MDIC) is now accepting applications. Eligibility and application are available at: www.cnybac.com. The CNYBAC MDIC program has graduated 33 early-to-mid stage innovation teams to date. Selected participant teams can participate virtually or elect to work in the CNYBAC Creation Garage at no cost during the 6-month program. The MDIC intensive mentor program serves to expand teams’ innovation ecosystem network, gain introductions to research, product development and regulatory experts, access Upstate’s CORE Facilities, as well as receive support from NYSTAR assets.
MDIC Selected Teams may access many resources: • Intensive mentorship based on team goals • Innovation Law Center commercialization research • I-Corps regional courses • University engineering capstone programs • Research and regulatory expertise • Manufacturing resources such as FuzeHub and TDO • CNYBAC Virtual Concept to Commercialization Monthly Series • Innovation and Investment Networks • Pitch events and business plan competitions
