Research development services, through the office of Research Administration, are designed to assist Upstate faculty in obtaining support for their research and related programs.

 Services include: 

•  Assisting researchers to identify extramural and internal funding opportunities
• Administering the Intramural Research Grant Opportunities
• Coordinating Fellowship and Award nominations for faculty
• Reviewing calls for proposals and advising PI(s) on agency requirements
• Outlining proposals and developing timelines for project management
• Ensuring that all aspects of your proposal adhere to guidelines, including formatting
• Editing and formatting biosketches, support letters, and cover letters
• Advising on the following aspects of proposals including clarity, logic and organization
• Providing guidance on good grant writing practices
• Identifying collaborators both on and off campus
• Assisting PI’s in obtaining sample proposals
• Assisting with responses to reviewers
